Let's get moving! Here in Fruits and Vegetables Land, we love to stay fit. Do you know that being active 30 minutes every day is just as important as eating 5 to 9 servings of fruits and vegetables?
All of our friends are very active. Bobby Banana and Stuart Spinach ride their skateboards, Cornelius Corn plays tennis, Sammy-Salad-in-a-Bag rides his bike, and Stan and Sarah Strawberries love to roller blade. Fit Kids like your SuperKids friends are happy and feel great!
Why is physical activity so important?
Physical activity is important because it helps keep your body and mind healthy. After a challenging activity, your heart is happy, your muscles are strong, your body looks fit, and most importantly, you feel great!
Fit kids get lots of physical activity - every day it's 30 minutes! One of the coolest things about being a fit kid is that it doesn't matter what you do, just find a fun activity you love and play, play, play! So, remember try to get 30 minutes of exercise every day.
What is the best time to be physically active?
That's easy! It's always a good time for activity! In fact, let's try getting active right now! Yeah! Stand up, and let's do 25 jumping jacks. Do you feel your heart pumping faster? That means that it is happy and healthy. Great job!

When It's Just You
- Strap on a helmet, hop on your bike, and take an adventure ride around your neighborhood.
- Practice new tricks on your skateboard, but don't forget your helmet and pads!
- Try jumping rope. Count how many times you can jump before stopping.
- Create cool new dance moves to go with the Jammin SuperKids Songs!
In A Big Group
- Batter up! Organize a friendly game of baseball or softball.
- Games like kickball, touch football, or soccer are sure to get your heart pumping!
- Have a marathon race around your block. See who comes in first, second, and third.
- Play follow-the-leader on foot, bikes, roller blades or skateboards.
- Organize a sneaky game of hide-and-seek.
- Dance with your friends to your favorite Jammin SuperKids Songs!
- Go on an adventure hike in a local park or around your neighborhood.
