Blueberries are a summertime favorite and all you need is one-half cup to count as one serving of your 5 A Day. They are one of natures true convenience foods, because all you need to do is simply wash them and pop them into your mouth to enjoy their sweet/tart flavor.
Here are some ways to enjoy blueberries any time of the day:

Breakfast:
- Top hot or cold cereal with blueberries
- Add blueberries to pancake, waffle, muffin, and breakfast bread batter
- Pour blueberries onto low fat yogurt or cottage cheese
- Pile blueberries into a cantaloupe half

Freezing:
- If you have extra blueberries you can freeze them to eat later. Wash them and let them dry before freezing. Arrange berries in a single layer on a cookie sheet and freeze. After they are frozen, transfer the berries to plastic bags or freezer containers.
