Bell peppers are picked by hand, packed in boxes or plastic bins and then transported to packing houses where they are sorted, cleaned and cooled.

They are then packed in cardboard boxes, loaded onto pallets and these pallets are then loaded onto trucks that haul the peppers across the country to distribution centers and supermarkets.
