Orange trees usually bloom in early spring. The blossoms smell wonderful!
|
|
|
The fruit grows during the summer and harvesting begins in the fall.
As soon as the first oranges of the season are ready for harvest the pickers arrive in the groves. Each picker carries a large bag on their back that holds the fruit as it is picked.
|
|
|
The pickers empty the bags of oranges into large bins.
|
|
|
When the bins are full, they are loaded onto a transport trailer to be brought to the packinghouse.
