- In Queen Victoria’s day, oranges were given as Christmas gifts in England.
- Did you know that oranges picked higher up in the tree are usually sweeter than those picked closer to the ground? Cool!
- Oranges that grow on the south side of the tree are sweeter than those that grow on the north side. I didn’t know fruit knew directions!
- Unlike pears, apples, and bananas – oranges will not ripen any more after being picked.
